Usage:

Past Tense Form of Verb +上で

Meaning:

「〜上（うえ）で」means “After…”.

Example Sentences:

（1）みんなの意見を聞いた上で、場所を決めます。
I will decide the place after I asked others’ opinions.

（2）データを確認した上で、教えます。
I will tell you after I checked the data.

（3）多くの買い物は注意深く考えた上で行われている。
Many purchases are carefully thought out.

（4）間違いを訂正した上で、ファイルをルクセンバーグ氏に返却してください。
Correct the mistake and return the file to Mr Luxemburg.

（5）ホワイト博士とは前もって約束した上でなければ面会できない。
You can meet Dr. White only by appointment.

（6）あなたの申し出はよく調べた上でご返事しましょう。
I’ll give you our answer after we go into your proposal in greater detail.

（7）これはおそらく戸籍上の出生年月日を調べた上で修正したのではないかと思います。
I believe this may be a correction after investigation of his date of birth in the family register.
