①Te Form of Verb + しかた(が)ない/しょうがない
②i-Adj(drop the い in the end)+ くて + しかた(が)ない/しょうがない
③na-Adj + で + しかた(が)ない/しょうがない


「〜てしかた(が)ない/てしょうがない」means “very…”, it’s used to emphasize the emotion of the speaker.

Example Sentences:

It is unbearably hot this summer.

I am dying to see her again.

I’m dying for a cup of coffee.

She is very cute.

It’s simply too cold today.

I’ve had it for today. I’m too tired.

The sight of him is hateful to me.
