Lesson 31: 〜最中に

Usage:

Noun + の + 最中に
Te Form of Verb + いる + 最中に

Meaning:

「～最中（さいちゅう）に」means “in the middle of…”.

Example Sentences:

（1）私は試験の最中に腹痛を起した。
I got a stomachache in the middle of exam.

（2）私はパリを旅行している最中に彼女に会いました。
I met her in the middle of traveling in Paris.

（3）彼は会話の最中に口を挟むことがよくある。
He often breaks into the middle of a conversation.

（4）彼はスピーチの最中に気を失った。
He fainted in the midst of his speech.

（5）食事の最中に呼び鈴が鳴った。
The doorbell rang during the meal.

（6）私は講義の最中にぐっすり眠ってしまった。
I fell asleep in the middle of the lecture.

（7）映画の最中に彼は震え始めた。
He began to tremble during the movie.

（8）コンサートの最中に喋るのは無作法である。
To talk during a concert is rude.

（9）この暑い最中になぜ、あなたはロンドンにいなければならないのですか。
Why do you have to stay in London in this heat?

（10）彼らは話をしている最中に電話を切られた。
They were cut off in the middle of their telephone conversation.

    僕は講義の最中に寝ちゃったのです。

    昨夜遅くまでゲームをやっていたで、会議の最中に眠くなってきてしまいました。

    事故があったんだ。被害者が車を運転している最中に道を見ずに携帯を使っていたらしいです。

    彼は授業している最中に叱られたんだ。宿題をしなかったし、授業も集中してないし。
