Lesson 52: 〜だろうか

Usage:

①Verb(Dictionary Form, Past Tense Form, Negative Form) + だろうか
②i-Adj ＋　だろうか
③na-Adj + だろうか
④Noun + だろうか

Meaning:

「～だろうか」is used to express that you doubt or wonder something.

Example Sentences:

（1）彼は少しでも学者と言えるだろうか。
Is he anything of a scholar?

（2）彼は試験に落ちるだろうか。
Will he fail the examination?

（3）今夜は雪になるだろうか。
Will it snow tonight?

（4）彼は在宅だろうか。
I wonder if he’s at home.

（5）彼は今晩来るだろうか。
I wonder if he’ll come tonight.

（6）彼はもう一度やる勇気があるのだろうか。
I wonder if he dares try again.

（7）私は彼の感情を傷付けただろうか。
Did I hurt his feelings?

（8）私の新しい髪型はおかしいのだろうか。
Is my new hair style funny?

（9）私には才能があるのだろうか。
Am I talented?

（10）指を使うことは野蛮なのだろうか。
Is using fingers uncivilized?
