Usage:
Past Tense Form of Verb + ばかりだ
Meaning:
「~たばかりだ」means “did something just now”. You can use 「~たばかりです」too, it’s the polite form of 「~たばかりだ」. |
Example Sentences:
(1)私は起きたばかりだ。 I got up just now. (2)彼は来たばかりだ。 He came here just now. (3)車輪には油を注したばかりだ。 I’ve just oiled the wheels. (4)私は今着いたばかりだ。 I just arrived now. (5)彼は事務所から帰ったばかりだ。 He has come back from the office. (6)彼は中古車を買ったばかりです。 He has just bought a used car. (7)彼の車は修理が終わったばかりです。 His car has just been repaired. (8)彼は家を出て行ったばかりです。 He has just left home.
