Lesson 55: 〜ようになる

Usage:

Verb(Dictionary Form, Negative Form, Potential Form) of Verb + ようになる


Meaning:

「〜ようになる」means “came to…”, “became…”, “started…”.

Example Sentences:

ほんがわかるようになりました
I came to understand Japanese.

わたしおよげるようになりました
I came to be able to swim.

納豆なっとうべられるようになった
I came to be able to eat natto.

ミスしないようになりました
I came to not make any mistakes.

かれらはあいようになった
They came to love each other.

彼女かのじょ叔母おばらすようになった
She came to live with her aunt.

どもがやっとあるけるようになった
The kid came to be able to walk at last.

息子むすこ100ひゃくまでかぞえるようになった
My son became able to count to 100.

最近さいきんおおくのひとがこのみちとおようになりました
Recently, a lot of people have started walking this way.

息子むすこは、さいときにおしゃべりができるようになりました
My son started speaking when he was two.

    I became “able” to not make any mistakes.
