Lesson 55: 〜ようになる

Usage:

Verb(Dictionary Form, Negative Form, Potential Form) of Verb + ようになる

Meaning:

「〜ようになる」means “came to…”, “became…”, “started…”.

Example Sentences:

日に本ほん語ごがわかるようになりました。
I came to understand Japanese.

私わたしは泳およげるようになりました。
I came to be able to swim.

納豆なっとうが食たべられるようになった。
I came to be able to eat natto.

ミスしないようになりました。
I came to not make any mistakes.

彼かれらは愛あいし合あうようになった。
They came to love each other.

彼女かのじょは叔母おばと暮くらすようになった。
She came to live with her aunt.

子こ供どもがやっと歩あるけるようになった。
The kid came to be able to walk at last.

息子むすこが100ひゃくまで数かぞえるようになった。
My son became able to count to 100.

最近さいきん、多おおくの人ひとがこの道みちを通とおるようになりました。
Recently, a lot of people have started walking this way.

息子むすこは、２に歳さいの時ときにおしゃべりができるようになりました。
My son started speaking when he was two.
