Lesson 25: 〜にくい

Usage:

Polite Form of Verb(drop the ます in the end)+  にくい


Meaning:

「~にくい」means “hard to…”, “hard of…”, “difficult to…”.

しんにくいです。
It’s hard to believe.

かれにくい
He is hard to deal with.

このまちらしにくい
This town is hard to live in.

みみこえにくいんですか?
Are you hard of hearing?

プラスチックはにくい
Plastic does not burn easily.

かれあたえたゆうかいにくい
The reason which he gave is hard to understand.

エスペラントはしゅうとくにくいですか。
Is it hard to learn Esperanto?

かんおぼにくいです。
Kanji is hard to remember.

このりょうにくいです。
This dish is hard to eat.

この質問しつもんはまだがくにもこたにくいなんだ。
This is still a difficult question for science to answer.
