Lesson 11: 〜てみる

Usage:

Te Form of Verb + みる


Meaning:

「〜てみる」means “try to do something”.

Note:
「〜てみます」is the polite form of 「〜てみる」.

Example Sentences:

やってみる
I will try to do it.

がんてみる
I will try my best.

それはやってみる価値かちがあるね。
It is worthwhile to have a try at it.

かれけっきょくやってみることにした。
He finally decided to try.

くわしく調しらてみます
I will try to look into it.

問題もんだいさい検討けんとうてみます
I will try to reconsider the matter.

トムがたくしたら、はなてみます
I will try to talk to Tom when he comes home.

明日あしたそのことについてかれてみます
I will try to ask him about it tomorrow.

説明せつめいてみて
Try to explain.

てみてもいいですか。
May I try it on?
