Lesson 11: 〜てみる

Usage:

Te Form of Verb + みる

Meaning:

「〜てみる」means “try to do something”.

Note:
「〜てみます」is the polite form of 「〜てみる」.

Example Sentences:

やってみる。
I will try to do it.

頑がん張ばってみる。
I will try my best.

それはやってみる価値かちがあるね。
It is worthwhile to have a try at it.

彼かれは結けっ局きょくやってみることにした。
He finally decided to try.

詳くわしく調しらべてみます。
I will try to look into it.

問題もんだいを再さい検討けんとうしてみます。
I will try to reconsider the matter.

トムが帰き宅たくしたら、話はなしてみます。
I will try to talk to Tom when he comes home.

明日あしたそのことについて彼かれに聞きいてみます。
I will try to ask him about it tomorrow.

説明せつめいしてみて。
Try to explain.

着きてみてもいいですか。
May I try it on?
