Lesson 50: (もし)…ても
Usage:

①(もし)+ Te Form of Verb + も
②(もし)+ Negative Form of Verb (change the い in the end to く) + ても
Meaning:
「(もし)…ても」means “even though…”. |
Examples:
もし失敗しても大丈夫です。 It’s okay even though you are failed. できなくてもいいです。 It’s okay even though you can’t do it. もし、雨が降っても、試合は中止しません。 The match will not be canceled even if it rains. もし今、1億円をもらっても、使い方がわからない。 Even if I get 100 million yen now, I don’t know how to use it. 先生に相談しても、何も解決してくれませんでした。 Nothing was solved even though I consulted with my teacher. 明日は雨が降ってもピクニックに行きますよ。 Tomorrow I will go on a picnic even if it rains. 会社にメールをしても、返事が返ってこない。 I don’t get a reply even if I send an email to the company, |
