Lesson 16: 〜ているところだ

Usage:

Te Form of Verb + いる + ところだ


Meaning:

「〜ているところだ」means “be doing something now”.

Note:
「〜ているところです」is the polite form of 「〜ているところだ」.

Example Sentences:

いまそれをやっているところだ
I’m working on it.

シャツをているところです
I’m hanging up my shirts.

朝食ちょうしょくようをしているところです
She’s getting breakfast ready.

いまはんているところです
I’m eating meal now.

いま部屋へやそうているところだ
I’m cleaning the room now.

いま風呂ふろはいているところだ
I’m taking a bath now.

いま宿しゅくだいをやっているところです
I’m doing my homework.

彼女かのじょいまがみているところです
She is writing a letter now.

かれ報告書ほうこくしょとおているところです
I’m looking over his report.

いまアンドロイドようアプリを開発かいはつているところだ
