Noun + を + やる
Meaning:
I give something to somebody or something. |
Examples:
5ドルをやる。 I’ll give you five dollars. 私は犬に水をやる。 I give water to the dog. 毎月有り余るほどの金をやるよ。 I give you plenty of money each month. 部下に本をやる。 I give subordinate the book. 木に水をやる。 I give tree the water. (I water the tree) このパソコンいらないから、やるよ。 I don’t need this computer. I will give it to you. 犬に餌をやるのを忘れた。 I forgot to feed my dog. ハトに餌をやるのが好きです。 I like to feed the pigeons. |
Note:

やる is used to express that you give something to your subordinate.
It can also used to express that you give something to animals or plants.
