Lesson 51: 〜といい

Usage:

Dictionary Form of Verb + といい
Negative Form of Verb + といい
Potential Form of Verb + といい

Meaning:

「～といい」means “I hope (that)…”, “I wish…”.

Example Sentences:

明日あした晴はれるといいな。
I hope the weather will clear up tomorrow.

また会あえるといいね。
I hope to see you again.

成功せいこうするといいですね。
I wish you success.

間ま違ちがえてないといいね。
I hope you haven’t made a mistake.

早はやく良よくなるといいね。
I hope you get better soon.

バスが早はやく来くるといいね。
I hope the bus will come before long.

明日あした雨あめ降ふらないといいな。
I hope it does not rain tomorrow.

お会あいできるといいですね。
I hope to see you.
