Usage:

Past Tense Form of Verb + より
Noun + より


Meaning:

「~より」means “more…than…”.

Example Sentences:

かれきみよりつよい。
He is stronger than you.

きんぎんよりおもい。
Gold is heavier than silver.

いぬってねこよりかしこいの?
Are dogs more intelligent than cats?

ちちははよりさいわかい。
My father is two years younger than my mother is.

かれろうよりいそがしい。
He is busier than Taro.

おもったよりやすかった。
It was cheaper than I thought.

かれぼくよりあしはやい。
He can run faster than I can.

ぜんよりわるくなってる?
Is it worse than before?

わたしふゆよりなつきだ。
I like summer better than winter.

彼女かのじょはあなたより有名ゆうめいだ。
She is more famous than you.
