Lesson 82: 〜とばかりに

Usage:

①Verb(Dictionary Form, Past Tense Form, Negative Form, Imperative Form) + とばかりに
②i-Adj + とばかりに
③na-Adj + とばかりに
④Noun + とばかりに


Meaning:

「~とばかりに」means “It seems that…”; “as if…”.

Examples:

てんまでとどけとばかりに、こえをかぎりにうたった。
She sang at the top of her voice, and seems that her voice will reach the sky.
 
かれけとばかりに、ドアをけた。
He opened the door as if he was saying “Get out” to me.
