Lesson 53: 〜ても差し支えない

Usage:

Te Form of Verb + も差さし支つかえない

 

Meaning:

It’s okay… (more formal than てもかまわない)

 

 

Examples:

手しゅ術じゅつ後ごの経けい過かが順調じゅんちょうだったら、来らい週しゅうは散さん歩ぽに出でても差さし支つかえない。

If things turn out well after the surgery, it’s okay to go for a walk next week.

 

具ぐ合あいが悪わるかったら、今日きょうは早退そうたいしても差さし支つかえない。

If you are not feeling well, it’s okay to leave early today.
