Volitional Form of Verb of とも
i-Adj (drop the い in the end) + くとも
Meaning:
「〜(よ)うとも/くとも」means “no matter…”. |
Examples:
母はどんなに辛くとも、決してぐちを言わなかった。 My mother never complains no matter how painful she is. 誰に反対されようとも、自分が正しいと思う道を進みたい。 No matter who is against me, I want to follow the path I think is right. |
