Usage:
Dictionary Form of Verb + だに
Noun + だに
Meaning:
| 「〜だに」means “just…”; “even…”. It’s often used with 想像する、考える、聞く、思う、口に出す. |
Examples:
| 地震のことなど想像するだに恐ろしい。 It’s scary to just imagine an earthquake. 自分が政治家になろうとは、想像だにしていなかった。 I did not even imagine myself becoming a politician. |
