Lesson 36: 〜そばから

Usage:

Verb(Dictionary Form, Past Tense Form) + そばから

Meaning:

「〜そばから」means “as soon as…”.

Examples:

私わたしは語ご学がくの才能さいのうがないようで、新あたらしい言こと葉ばを習ならうそばから忘わすれてしまう。
It seems that I don’t have the talent for language learning, I will forget the new word as soon as I learn it.

もう遅ち刻こくしないと言いったそばからまた遅おくれるなんて、彼かれは何なにを考かんがえているのだろう。
He was late again as soon as he said that he wouldn’t be late, what is he thinking about?
