In Japanese,労 means “labor”.

労働(ろうどう)→labor
苦労(くろう)する→to struggle

Origin:

You can see a bag. So you can remember this kanji by “this man’s job is to carry the bag.”
So 労 means “labor”.

Note: There are some difference between Chinese kanji and Japanese kanji. You should use Japanese kanji (there are three points above.)
