Meaning

In Japanese,器 means “machine”.

How to read it:

Kunyomi:うつわ
Onyomi:き

Kunyomi:
彼(かれ)は器(うつわ)がでかい。→He is very tolerant.
 
Onyomi:
機器(きき)→machine

Origin:

You can see a dog and four mouths. If somewhere is very noisy, the dog will bark.
You can remember this kanji by “A machine makes the dog bark.”
 
Note: There is some difference between Chinese kanji and Japanese kanji. You should use Japanese kanji.(a 大 in the middle)
