In Japanese,浅 means “shallow”.

浅(あさ)い→shallow

Origin:

You can see two weapons and a river. The river is to shallow so you can see the weapons.
So 浅 means “shallow”.

Note: There is some difference between Chinese kanji and Japanese kanji .You should use Japanese kanji(Which has four lines on the right.)
