Usage:
Sentence + からいいようなものの
Meaning:
| 「〜からいいようなものの」means “It’s a good thing that… this time…”. Usually, it’s used to tell people that it’s lucky this time, but we need to take care to avoid something happen next time. |
Examples:
| 火事にならなかったからいいようなものの、これからたばこの火の始末に注意してください。 It’s a good thing that it didn’t become a fire, but please take care to put out the fire of cigarette from now on. 今回は事故が起こらなかったからいいようなものの、これからよく注意しないといけないですね。 It’s a good thing that the accident didn’t happen this time, but we should take care from now on. |
