Usage:
少し + Verb
少し + i-Adj
少し + na-Adj
Meaning:
| “少し” means “a little bit”. |
Example Sentences:
| 少し疲れた。 I’m a little tired. 今日は少し寒い。 It’s a little cold today. 少し忙しい。 I’m a little busy. お金は少しある。 I have a little money. 彼は少し飲んだ。 He drank a little. 少しやせました。 I’ve lost a little weight. 少し考えさせて。 Let me think it over a bit. 水を少しください。 Please give me a little water. 少し安くしてください。 Please lower the price a little bit. 少し静かにしてください。 Please be a little bit quiet. |

Is Chotto and Sukoshi same ?
If not, what is the difference and usage?
「ちょっと待って」＝「少し待って」
「ちょっとだけ食べたい」＝「少しだけ食べたい」
「ちょっとわかりません」○ 「少しわかりません」×
「ちょっとすみません！」○ 「少しすみません」×
「それはちょっと答えられません」○ 「それは少し答えられません」×
Does that mean , we can use ちょっと for both Positive and Negative Expressions while We can only use Positive Expression for 少し？
