Lesson 21: 〜前に（まえに）

Usage:

Noun + の + 前まえに
Dictionary Form of Verb + 前まえに

Meaning:

「〜前まえに」means “before…, in front of…”.

You can use 〜前にはwa to emphasize the part before はwa.

Example Sentences:

彼かれは私わたしの前まえに座すわった。
He sat in front of me.

食しょく事じの前まえに手てを洗あらいなさい。
Please wash your hands before meal.

彼女かのじょは鏡かがみの前まえに立たった。
She stood before the mirror.

私わたしの家いえの前まえに湖みずうみがある。
There is a lake in front of my house.

旅行りょこうの前まえに髪かみを切きった。
Before taking a journey, I got a haircut.

ホテルの前まえに銀行ぎんこうがある。
There is a bank in front of the hotel.

話はなす前まえに考かんがえなさい。
Think before you speak.

ジムは横断おうだんする前まえに左さ右ゆうを見みた。

It began to rain before I got home.

He watches television before studying.

靴くつを買かう前まえには、試ためしに履はいてみなければならない。
Before buying shoes, you should try them on.
