Usage 1:

Time + 中じゅう

Meaning of Usage 1:

「 Time + 中」means “all…”.

Examples of Usage 1:

彼かれは一日いちにち中じゅう眠ねむった。
He slept all day.

昨日きのうは一日いちにち中じゅう家いえにいた。
I was home all day yesterday.

彼かれは一日いちにち中じゅうテニスをした。
He was playing tennis all day.

トムは一日いちにち中じゅう歩あるき続つづけた。
Tom walked all day.

トムは一日いちにち中じゅうテレビを見みた。
Tom watched TV all day.

彼女かのじょは一晩ひとばん中じゅう踊おどった。
She danced all night long.

一晩ひとばん中じゅう、ここにいたの？
Were you here all night?

彼女かのじょは一晩ひとばん中じゅう本ほんを読よんだ。
She read the book all night.

Usage 2:

Space + 中じゅう

Meaning of Usage 2:

「Space + 中」means “all over…, around…”.

Examples of Usage 2:

彼かれは世せ界かい中じゅうを旅行りょこうした。
He traveled all over the world.

彼かれは世せ界かい中じゅうに友達ともだちがいる。
He had friends all over the world.

彼女かのじょの名なは世せ界かい中じゅうで知しられています。
Her name is known all over the world.

英えい語ごは世せ界かい中じゅうで話はなされています。
English is spoken around the world.
