Lesson 31: いつも~

Usage:

いつも + Adj/Noun/Verb/Sentence…


Meaning:

「いつも〜」 means “always…”.

Example Sentences:

いつもいそがしいの?
Are you always busy?

いつもこうなの?
Is it always this way?

いつもこんなかんじ?
Is it always like this?

かれいつもあかるい。
He is always cheerful.

真実しんじついつもひとつ!
There is always only one truth!

いつもそばにいるよ。
I will always be there for you.

かれいつもかんまもる。
He is always punctual.

いつもこんなにくちなの?
Are you always this quiet?

かれいつもべんきょうしている。
He is always studying.

かれいつもきみている。
He is always looking at you.

わたしいつもろくきる。
I always get up at six.

Note:

いつも can be used as a noun too. It means “usual”.

わたしいつもよりはやきた。
I got up earlier than usual.

いつもおなじです。
It is the same as usual.

  1. Excuse me, I have a question.. what if you want to use “was/were” instead of “is?” For example, “My wallet was always this empty,” or “we were always happy.” Thank you in advance^
