Lesson 23: 〜場合（ばあい）
Usage:
①Verb（Dictionary Form， Past Tense Form，Negative Form…） + 場合
②i-Adj + 場合
③na-Adj + な + 場合
④Noun + の + 場合
Meaning:
| 「〜場合」means “If…; In case…”. |
Example Sentences:
| 雨の場合私は行かない。 If it’s raining, I won’t go. 明日、雨降る場合は車で行きます。 If it’s raining tomorrow, we’ll go by car. 万一の場合はここへ電話をください。 In case of an emergency, phone me at this number. 緊急の場合は、１１９番に電話しなさい。 In case of an emergency, call 119. 何か事故でもあった場合にはすぐ電報をください。 Wire me at once, in case there should be an accident. 来れない場合は、できるだけ早く連絡してください。 If you can’t make it, call us as soon as possible. 頭が痛い場合、薬を飲んでください。 Please take medicine if you have a headache. お金の支払いが困難な場合、私に電話してください。 Please call me if you have difficulty paying for the money. 雨天の場合、試合は中止となります。 If it rains, the game will be called off. 初めてのご注文の場合には、５％の特別値引きをいたします。 We will offer a special discount of 5% if it’s your first order. 旅行を計画する場合は、家族全員の希望を考慮すべきだ。 We must take into account the wishes of all the family in planning a trip. |

| 「〜場合」is often used to express something not good. |
