Usage:
あまり・あんまり + Negative Expression
Meaning:
「あまり・あんまり」means “so…, very…, many…, much…, often…”. |
Example Sentences:
あまり人に頼るな。 Don’t depend on other people too much. あまり旅行しない。 I don’t travel very much. あまり食べ過ぎるな。 Don’t eat too much. あまり彼に会いません。 I don’t meet him so often. 彼はあまり本を読まない。 He doesn’t read many books. 今日はあんまり暑くないね。 Today’s not even very hot. 数学はあんまり好きじゃない。 I don’t like mathematics very much. 父はあんまり果物を食べません。 My father does not eat much fruit. あんまりいい趣味とは言えないな。 You can’t say that it is a very good hobby. 僕はあんまりいいダンサーではない。 I’m not a very good dancer. |
