Lesson 29: ぜんぜん～

Usage:

ぜんぜん＋ Negative Expression

Meaning:

「ぜんぜん〜ない」 means “not…at all”.

Notes:
①The kanji of ぜんぜん is 全然ぜんぜん.
②Both 全然ぜんぜん and ぜんぜん are used, they are the same.
③In order to help you practice reading the kanji, The examples below are all written as 全然ぜんぜん.

Example Sentences:

いや、全然ぜんぜん。
Nope, not at all.

全然ぜんぜん眠ねむれない。
I can’t sleep at all.

全然ぜんぜん大だい丈じょう夫ぶだよ。
Everything is in good order.

全然ぜんぜん痛いたくないよ。
It doesn’t hurt at all.

全然ぜんぜんわかりません。
I have no idea.

全然ぜんぜん疲つかれてません。
I’m not tired at all.

全然ぜんぜん見みえなかった。
I saw nothing at all.

彼かれは全然ぜんぜん勉べん強きょうしなかった。
He didn’t study at all.

私わたしは全然ぜんぜん納得なっとくしていない。
I’m not convinced at all.

私わたしたちは全然ぜんぜん似にていない。
We don’t look the same at all.

君きみには全然ぜんぜん関係かんけいないでしょ！
That’s none of your business!

私わたしはその物もの語がたりには全然ぜんぜん興きょう味みがない。
I am not in the least interested in the story.
