Lesson 1: 〜過（す）ぎ/前（まえ）

Usage:

Noun (time) + 過すぎ

Noun (time) + 前まえ

Meaning:

八はち時じ過すぎ→past(or after) eight

八はち時じ前まえ→before eight

Example Sentences:

（1）７しち時じ過ぎに会あおうね。
See you past 7.

（2）もう１０じゅう時じ過ぎだ。
It’s already past ten o’clock.

（3）１０じゅう時じ２０にじゅっ分ぷん過ぎだ。
It’s twenty minutes past ten.

（4）午ご前ぜん０れい時じ過ぎに目めが覚さめた。
I woke up after midnight.

（5）１０じゅう時じ過ぎには電でん話わをしないでください。
Don’t call me up after ten o’clock.

（6）彼女かのじょは５ご時じ前に帰かえってきた。
She came back before five o’clock.

（7）６ろく時じ前に帰かえってきなさい。
You should come home before six.

（8）普ふ段だんは７しち時じ前に朝食ちょうしょくを食たべるの？
Do you usually eat breakfast before seven?

（9）１０じゅう時じ前に戻もどらなければならない。
You must be back before ten.

（10）彼かれは５時ごじ前に家いえに着ついた。
He reached home before five o’clock.
