Lesson 1: Nounです/Nounではありません
Nounです/Nounではありません is used to express what a certain person or thing is or isn’t.
Note: は is read as “wa” in ではありません.
Patterns:

Notes:
| ①Besides 「Noun + ではありません」, you can use 「Noun + ではないです」 to express the negative form of 「Noun + です」. But 「Noun + ではありません」 is more often used. 学生ではないです。(=学生ではありません) I’m not a student. 夏ではないです。(=夏ではありません) It’s not summer. ②In spoken Japanese, You can use 「Noun + じゃありません」 to replace 「Noun + ではありません」, and you can use 「Noun + じゃないです」 to replace 「Noun + ではないです」。 学生じゃありません。(=学生ではありません) I’m not a student. 夏じゃないです。(=夏ではないです) It’s not summer. |

How do you tell when it’s pronounced ha or wa
It’s easy, a sentence is like
Noun ＋ は ＋ other words
では
ては
には
it’s read as “wa”
If it’s in a word, like 母（はは）、旗（はた），it’s read as “ha”
Do I need to remember the kanji of this lesson ?
Nope, you don’t have to.
i can use them randomly or i’ve got to distinguish between formal and informal?
Note:

In spoken Japanese, You can use Ｎじゃありません to replace Nではありません, and you can use N じゃないです to replace Nではないです。

Hello again, if I may, in my opinion, the notes at the bottom before the vocabulary is way too back and forth for me(“this can replace this”, is very confusing). I think it would be easier to have a simple list of each way to say what something isnt
example:
1) de wa a ri ma se n
2) ja a ri ma se n
3) de wa na ii de su
4) de wa na ii de su
also, mind explaining in more detail about ha being wa, please? I know you answered a similar question but I’m still confused
