Lesson 9: Conditional Form

In this lesson,I will teach you how to convert Japanese verbs to Conditional Form.


How to change Japanese verbs to Conditional Form?

type-one verb:change to u-hiragana to e-hiragana in the same column,and add ば.
For example,う→えば

type-two verb:change the る in the end to れば .
For example,べる→べれば

type-three verb: change the する in the end to すれば.
For example, べんきょうする→べんきょうすれば

irregular verb:check out the table below

Note:

If you want to change the Conditional Form to Negative Conditional Form, you can change it as below.
(Just change the Dictionary Form to Negative Form, and change the い in the end to ければ)

う→会わない→会わなければ

べる→食べない→食べなければ

べんきょうする→勉強しない→勉強しなければ

る→ない→なければ

する→しない→しなければ

Example Sentences:

できればほんきたいです。
I want to go to Japan if I can do it.

もんえばりがない。
Once the complaining starts, it never ends.

てんければくよ。
If the weather is good, I’ll go.
