N2 Kanji 234: 齢

Meaning:

In Japanese,齢 means “age”.


How to read it:

Kunyomi:Not often used
Onyomi:れい


How to write it:


Origin:

齢 = 歯+令.
歯 means “teeth”.
You can tell one’s age by his or her teeth.
So 齢 means “age” .

Note:
There is some difference between Chinese kanji and Japanese kanji,
you should use Japanese kanji. (Which has 歯 on the left.)
