Hey, these tutorials are great and the pictures are helpful in remembering the letters. Question: Do you think stoke order while writing is important, or is it ok to write a letter however you want?
I think a right stroke order will make you write kana faster.
I’m a little late to reply, but correct stroke order in the kana will help you memorize kanji, as most of the kana are just simplified kanji or radicals of kanji. If you don’t remember correct stroke order for the kana you might memorize certain kanji incorrectly, which might present a few difficulties, as while it might seem like stroke order is more to remember, it’s actually less, because you can basically just memorize the radicals in a kanji instead of memorizing all 2200+ joyou kanji as their own thing.
Might need to take note on that.
Yeah, I’ve been writing the vocab at the end of these lessons and I’ve found that following the stroke order helps break the kanji into pieces which makes it somewhat easier to remember the whole thing. It also helps that a decent amount of advanced kanji are composed of other simpler kanji.
If I’m not mistaken, ゆたか is the first example given of an adjective that doesn’t end in -i. Is this because a different form of the adjective was used in the example, or are there other adjectives which end in other sounds (other than -i)? And if there are others, how frequent are they? Because I don’t remember there being any in the first 7 exercises O.O
(I haven’t studied grammar yet at all, this is just speculation from the examples I’ve seen so far, so I could be very wrong of course :/)
I will explain it in Adjective Course, no worries!
Thank you!! 🙂
