English Meaning of 故郷:

故郷ふるさと」means “hometown”.


Japanese Meaning of 故郷:

生まれ(育っ)た土地や以前に住み、またはなじんでいた場所。

Note:

「故郷」can be read as 「こきょう」too.
ふるさと is usually used. こきょう is little formal.
If you seen 故郷, you can pronounce both.
But こきょう tends to be used in written language and ふるさと tends to be used in spoken language.
