Meaning:

In Japanese,四 means “four”.

Origin:

Maybe you will wonder why we don’t use four lines to stand for “four”, but it looks bad.
So we use another kanji means “the nose is watering” to stand for “four”.

It’s pretty hard to explain the reason, but our purpose is to remember this kanji, so you can remember this as “My nose is watering for four days”.
