N4 Grammar 37:~し/~し~し

Usage:

Verb(Dictionary Form, Polite Form, Past Tense Form, Negative Form…) + し
イ-Adjective + し
ナ-Adjective + だ/です + し
Noun + だ/です + し

Meaning:
Because… and …(to list two or more reasons, you can also list only one reason to let others know that there are other reasons but I just don’t want to say it)

Example:

いまはおそいし、そとさむいし、きたくないです。
I don’t want to go because it’s too late now and it’s cold outside.

Voice:

問題もんだい簡単かんたんだし、ふくしゅうしたくないです。
I don’t want to review because the questions are simple.

Note:

You can mix different forms like below.

わたしはまだ学生がくせいだし、わかいし、らいのことかんがえたくないです。
I don’t want to think about the future because I’m just a student and young.
