In Japanese,骨 means “bone”.

Onyomi:こつ

骨(ほね)が折(お)れる→to have a lot of trouble

Onyomi:
骨折(こっせつ)→fracture

Origin:

You can see a bone here.
So 骨 means “bone”.

Note: There is some difference between Chinese kanji and Japanese kanji, you should use Japanese kanji.
