In Japanese,触 means “to touch”.

触(ふ)れる→to use

Onyomi:
接触(せっしょく)する→to contact

Origin:

It’s hard to remember this kanji by its origin because it changed too much.
However, you can remember this kanji by kanji 角 and 虫.
触 = 角 + 虫.
角 means “horn”, and 虫 means “bug”.
So you can remember this kanji by “Don’t touch the horn, there are bugs on it!”
