Japanese Adverb Lesson

Meaning:

「ちょうど」means “just…”.

Examples:

ちょうど５ご時じです。
It is just five o’clock.

ちょうど雨あめが降ふり出だした。
It just started to rain.

彼かれがちょうど到とう着ちゃくしました。
He just arrived.

トムはちょうど私わたしと同おない年どしだ。
Tom is just my age.

ちょうど家いえを買かったとこです。
I just bought a house.

彼かれはちょうど終しゅう電でんに間まに合あった。
He was just in time for the last train.

私わたしの部屋へやはちょうどこの上うえです。
My room is just above.

仕し事ごとはちょうど今いま終おわりました。
The work has just been done.

バスはちょうど行いったとこだよ。
The bus has just left.

彼かれはちょうど着ついたところだった。
He had just arrived.
