Hi Marshall,

I'm not entirely sure how to use 見物(する).

I saw people using it like: "芝居を見物する” so I thought it might be "seeing for the purpose of entertainment"... but then why is "映画を見物する” wrong?

Another definition for 見物 is sightseeing, but what's the difference between 観光 and 見物?

Sorry for the bombardment but I'm just very confused.

Thank you!!

ある人に過度な関心があることは健康ではありません。

Is this how you would say "It is unhealthy to have too much interest in a person"?

Yes!

How would you translate 「あなたをどっちで愛したならいいのかしら」? Would it be "Which side of you should I like"?

I don't know the context, but I guess どっち means "as ...", for example, as a friend, as a lover, or something like that.

I see. It's from a song and I find translating lyrics to be more difficult than regular text. If you have time, here are the lyrics and the link to the song:

Also, one more question relating this song:

悪い夢ばかり綺麗で」What is 綺麗で  's function? Is it saying that the bad dream is  beautiful?

It's not a good idea to learn Japanese from lyrics. Because lyrics not always follow grammar rules.

Does 一般論として mean "in general"?

一般論として、前作がマスターピースであればあるほど、続編のハードルは高くなる。
